Steamboat Family cabin
Awesome weekend get away
January 2011
The Steamboat family cabin is one of our favorite places as a family. Perhaps because it is one of the only places that we really go all together and have fun!!!
And fun we have!!!
We headed up on Friday morning after Chad got home from work. We packed the van, over packed the van—2 kids (Carter’s best friend, Cole, went with us) 2 dogs, 2 parents and lots of stuff.
Our first stop was REI. We needed a rocket box for the top of the car so that we could actually breathe on our 5 hour trip.
Now that we were spread out and could breathe, away we went!

s'more fun |
We ate good food, went snowshoeing, sledding, painted the snow with jello, built a bobsledding tracking, made s’mores, played games and just generally had a great time. The boys played hard, slept hard and just generally played until they couldn’t stay awake any more.
